Biography

Tori Kanellopoulos, AICP, is a Principal Planner with Albemarle County's long-range planning team. Her responsibilities include leading the County's Comprehensive Plan update, designing and facilitating community engagement opportunities, developing long-range plan recommendations, and presenting recommendations to the Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors. Tori wears many hats – from mapping and data analysis to land use planning and community engagement. Her trusty sidekick is her golden retriever Sky, who holds a particular expertise in the County's trails and (dog) parks system. Tori is a lecturer at the School of Architecture, teaching in the Urban + Environmental Planning Department. She holds a BA in Politics and Spanish and a Master's in Urban + Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia.
