Biography

A Brooklyn native and daughter of two architects, Lindsay's upbringing instilled in her a deep appreciation for buildings as reflections of history, culture, and diversity. Combining this early exposure with her love for nature, Lindsay's passion lies in creating designs that merge the built environment with the natural landscape. She is a designer at Hanbury, a 100% employee-owned company founded in 1979. Lindsay specializes in academic and cultural spaces, recognizing their role in nurturing community vitality. Her design approach emphasizes conceptual richness and individualization, tailoring each project to highlight unique elements that hold significance for the clients and communities they serve. Through her teaching at the UVA School of Architecture, she actively contributes to the education and mentorship of young designers, further enriching her understanding of the field.
