Biography
LaQuinta Spellman is a Charlottesville native with a solid background in technical support and customer service. She is passionate about helping others and continuously expanding her knowledge to enhance her skills. She started as a Helpdesk Support Specialist at Region 10 Community Services Board and was there for three years. LaQuinta then went to the UVA Curry School of Education and Human Development where she supported faculty, staff, and researchers with their technical needs for 3 ½ years. She is currently pursing her Master's Degree in Systems and Information Engineering here at the University of Virginia.
Her hobbies include creating memories with her fiancé and two daughters, enjoying sports, cooking, and traveling.
At the School of Architecture, her responsibilities include:
- Supporting A-School faculty, staff, and students with their technical needs by troubleshooting and research
- Helping to sustain classrooms by providing maintenance to computer hardware and software and taking care of computer deployments
- Providing A/V support in classrooms and labs
- Providing Printing Support to the Aschool
- Coordinating and purchasing faculty/staff computers and other departmental equipment
- Onboarding and off-boarding of Faculty and Staff
