World Heritage Trail
Course Presentation & Reception
Tues, Dec 9, 10:45AM
Pavilion IX

This presentation features student work from World Heritage Trail, a special topics course led by Lyle Solla-Yates in partnership with the Thomas Jefferson Foundation. Through site visits, archival research, and conversations with community partners, the class explored how to reconnect Monticello and UVA’s Academical Village—together a UNESCO World Heritage Site—through new approaches to history, mobility, and public interpretation. Students will share proposals that imagine a future trail linking these culturally significant landscapes.

With support from a UVA Community-Engaged and Service-Learning Course Grant.
