Noted garden designer Roy Diblik has spent more than 40 years studying, growing, and enjoying plants. He is the co-owner of Northwind Perennial Farm, a nursery in Burlington, Wisconsin, and is best known as the plantsman behind the Lurie Garden at Millennium Park in Chicago. Drawing from his practice and book, The Know Maintenance Perennial Garden, Diblik will present his garden designs, highlighting how plant relationships inform stewardship strategies and reduce maintenance costs.

About the Designer

Roy Diblik is a recognized perennial plant expert, grower, designer, speaker and author. Combining his 40 years of knowledge growing traditional and Midwest native perennials, he specializes in highly aesthetic, sustainable plant communities for all seasons, while reducing maintenance through design. He believes that gardens should be thoughtful, ecologically directed, emotionally outreaching and yet very personal.
