SOCIETY OF ARCHITECTURAL HISTORIANS — SAH-UVA

A HISTORICAL AND FUTURE-ORIENTED ORGANIZATION

SAH-UVA (formally Thomas Jefferson SAH) is the oldest student-run chapter of the Society of Architectural Historians. It serves as a social and scholastic link between students and faculty in the Department of Architectural History. In this capacity, SAH-UVA hosts lectures by distinguished scholars, coordinates guided trips to historic sites, arranges social events for students and faculty, engages with the surrounding community, and provides leadership and feedback on the changing discourse of our discipline.

The Architectural History Department is made up of stewards and scholars of the built environment. The collective goal of SAH-UVA is to continue to create an open, trusting, and enlightening dialogue between students, faculty, and staff as we elevate the discipline for more inclusive conversations and connections.
