Several landscape architecture students received awards from the Virginia Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (VA–ASLA) in the 2011 Student Awards Program. Hu Di (Expected MLA’13) and Xin Sui (MLA’11) received an Honor Design Award and Lauren Hackney (MArch/MLA’11) received a Merit Award for their National Mall studio projects with Beth Meyer. In addition, David Wooden (MLA’11) and Seth Denizen (Expected MLA’12) received Merit Awards, and Jen Lynch (Expected MLA’12) received a Design Award for their New Orleans studio projects with Jorg Sieweke.
