Betsy Roettger, director of undergraduate architecture, will receive the 2010 Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture / American Institute of Architects Housing Design Education Award at the ACSA annual meeting in March, 2010 for her project, “SRO: a case for affordable dense housing.” According to the press release, with this award “The ACSA and AIA honor faculty who have demonstrated the importance of good education in housing design to produce architects ready for practice in a wide range of areas and able to be capable leaders and contributors to their communities.”

William Sherman, associate professor of architecture, will receive the 2010 Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture Creative Achievement Award at the annual meeting in March for his design of the South Addition to Campbell Hall, created in conjunction with SMBW Architects. A stipulation for winning this award is that the candidate “shall have created a work or a project that provides significant insight into the understanding and advancement of architecture and architectural education.”
