University of Virginia: School of Architecture

Edward Ford, the 2010 Pietro Belluschi Distinguished Visiting Professor in Architectural Design, is an architect and an author who forges connections between the two disciplines. He will speak in Eugene and Portland in November.

In his upcoming lecture “Confessions of a Failed English Major: Building and Texts 1990-2010” Ford will explore the difference between writing about a building and designing one, drawn from his experience as an architect who has written several books on architectural details.
