Parallax Gap by Freeland Buck

Parallax Gap, an installation by the Los Angeles-based practice, Freeland Buck (co-principal, David Freeland BS Arch ‘99), was selected by the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum as the winning entry in a competition entitled ABOVE the Renwick. The installation is a 2,500 square foot canopy suspended from the gallery ceiling; this project extends a longstanding interest at Freeland Buck in applying processes and sensibilities associated with drawing to fabrication and building, constructing three-dimensional drawings at the building scale.
