Dean Search Reaches Final Stages

The Dean Search Committee, chaired by Professor Edward Ford, brought four finalist candidates to the School of Architecture for a series of meetings with administrators, faculty, staff, and students over the last several weeks. Each candidate also gave a public lecture during his or her visit.

Faculty, staff, and students were invited to submit comments to the Search Committee following each candidate’s visit.

The four finalists are: Donna Robertson (Dean, Illinois Institute for Technology); Kim Tanzer (Professor of Architecture, Univ. of Florida); Eve Blau (Dir. of the Master’s Program in Architecture, Harvard University); and Alan Plattus (Professor of Architecture and Urbanism, Yale University).

The Committee will make its recommendations to the University’s Provost on or about April 14th. The Provost will then conduct final interviews and his office will announce the selection after negotiations with the chosen candidate are complete.
