Tommy et al --
OK, sorry for any miscommunication -- we're all doing this the first time! As Tommy says, we'll work it out. For those of you finding the $1600 tickets, I recommend highly dropping an email to ingerlise ware at cosmopolitan travel. She, or any travel agent, can avoid premiums that regular fare systems place on long-term stays by purchasing the ticket through a wholesaler.
And as it stands, why don't we have everyone try to get their ticket ASAP and let me know the dates you can get/work out. Let's also try to keep the 25th as the earliest anyone is leaving, as we want to maximize the work we can do before we go -- we will have a full project to do here in Charlottesville before we go, and we will be starting work in Venice no later than the 2nd/3rd.
No-one worry too much, we'll all work this out together and have a great time doing it...
best Nicholas.
PS Ingerlise's info again, tell her I sent you!:

well,
i am all messed up. this is the first time i have heard that our last day in cville was the 29th. i couldn't wait any longer as the tickets were going up in price and i have others scheduling travel around me. we were told to buy our own tickets and told to be there by october 2nd. there was no one available to answer my questions. i bought my departure ticket for the 25th, in order to save money and to coordinate others.
i guess we'll just have to work things out.
