The Shure Studio & Insight Lab | Use and Schedule

The Lab is a multi-use space that is open for individual work, group projects, meetings, workshops, conferences, as well as regular courses. The lab is not a regular classroom, per se, but is often used by courses.

When using the lab, expect that others will also be using it. Almost no use receives exclusive access to the room, even if it has been scheduled. Courses taking place in the lab should expect (and even encourage) individual students or faculty also working in the room during that class. Meetings scheduled for the conference table or groups using the Smart Table, Smart Boards, or whiteboard should not expect complete privacy or exclusivity.

This lab is open to all, and is specifically intended to be used by multiple people for multiple reasons at all times. This is part of the room's social and intellectual environment — by design — as a way to foster collaboration and generate innovation.

 

To schedule use of the room, use the SARC Room Scheduler
