Derry Voysey Wade oversees publications and communications for the school and for the School of Architecture Foundation.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in comparative literature (French and English) from Smith College and a master’s degree in English and American literature from U.Va. Before joining the administrative faculty at the School of Architecture in 2001, Wade produced publications and managed the daily operations of the International Center for Jefferson Studies at the Thomas Jefferson Foundation and later oversaw marketing at a landscape architecture design firm.
Wade was appointed to the Smith College Alumnae Association Nominating Committee from 2004-2007 and has held various positions in the local alumnae club. She served as the professional schools’ representative to the U.Va. General Faculty Council from 2003-2006 and has lead the school’s United Way Day of Caring team since 2004.
