InDesign Master Page

If you are creating a project that has common elements on every page you can add them to the master page of your document. Anything you add to the master page will appear on all of the pages of your document. You can add text, images, page numbers, etc

Go to the window Menu and make sure Pages has a checkmark.

Once in the pages palette choose A-Master.

You are editing the master pages. You can verify this by looking at the lower left of InDesign to see A-Master in the little drop down area.

Now that we are viewing the master page go ahead and add a text box and begin typing.

Once you are done, switch to different pages of your document to verify that the type is appearing on all the pages.

If you want to edit, add or delete to elements on your master page you must be working on the master page.
