Illustrator and InDesign seem so similar. Why learn both?

Answer: Illustrator and InDesign seem very similar at first glance, but these are two very different programs. Illustrator, as its name implies is a drawing program with limited layout abilities, InDesign is a page layout program with limited drawing abilities.

Illustrator can create one page layouts easily, but the moment you want multiple pages, such as a print portfolio, thesis, booklet or multiple board studio project, InDesign is your only choice.

Work through this tutorial and compare the differences between InDesign and Illustrator.
