Printing
- Vector (CAD) and Raster (Image) data.
- Microsoft Windows and Macintosh compatible.
- Compatible with all major CAD, Imaging, and Desktop Publishing systems.
- Black and White only (colors and grays will be interpreted as halftone screens).
- Bring just the plot-file, not the CAD files. This keeps it simpler, quicker, and gives you more control over the correctness of your data.
- Files accepted on Floppy Disk, ZIP disk, CD-ROM, and soon modem.
- Fast processing - files printed in minutes.
Details
- Direct Printing of the following plot-file formats:
- HPGL, HPGL/2
- Postscript
- TIFF
- Calcomp Plot files
- ASCII (pure text)
- CALS
- Please do not bring CAD files in their native formats (DWG, DXF, DGN, etc.). Instead, use your CAD system to plot your data to a named file on disk. Bring these files to T&N on floppy, ZIP, or CD to be printed. Accompanying documentation details this.
- Colors and grays will print as screens of patterned black dots. Be aware of this constraint and plan your plot configurations appropriately. This may include the use of Pen Tables in AutoCAD or MicroStation, or the use of Black and White (single pen) print drivers from your software. Your software's documentation will detail setting this up for your system.
- T&N will not manipulate your print data, just print it. You are responsible for creating the correct plot-file.
Scanning
- Scans of large format paper documents in minutes.
- Images saved in TIFF format compatible with Microsoft Windows and Macintosh.
- Resolutions of 200 or 400 dpi at original (paper) size.
- Files saved on Floppy disk (size permitting), ZIP disk, or CD-ROM archive.
- Black and White scans only - NO COLOR or GRAYTONE.
- Photo enhancement setting for better halftoning (density patterns) of colors and grays.
- Please supply ZIP disks for your scanned data. A 24"x36" paper document will be approximately 4MB of TIFF image data. This will not fit on a standard floppy disk. ZIP disks will hold approximately 20 such images.
