Paul King earned both his Bachelor and Masters degree in Architecture from UVA in 1978 and 1982, respectively. He is currently Lead Designer and Principal at EYP, and Office Director of the Boston office. Paul brings more than 30 years of experience in the design of college and university facilities, research laboratories, corporate headquarters, and government buildings. His design leadership has advanced EYP’s integrated approach to the design of complex, technology-intense buildings, both nationally and internationally. Paul’s projects are noted for their clarity of intent and his focus is on creating buildings that are a direct response to the specifics of their site, that express the integration of architecture and engineering, and that exhibit the elegance of well-crafted detail. In addition to his design leadership, Paul’s achievements include leading the effort to standardize the firm’s production process and activating its network of Technical Directors to improve practices across the firm.
Paul has been a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board since 2006 and served as Vice-Chair from 2014-2016, and Chair from 2016-2018.
