Marc Miller is trained as an architect and landscape architect, and has a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Graphics and Art History. He has practice experience in a variety of project types including luxury retail, museum exhibition lighting, higher education and urban design. His teaching and design investigations are based on interests in computational methodologies and material fabrication with respect to landscape architecture. He is also interested in open source interfaces and "maker culture" as a means to explore the relationship between technology and contemporary craft. He is currently examining the development of GIS during the 1960’s as a mapping instrument and the representational tools that came about as a byproduct.
Marc joined the Advisory Board in spring 2013.
