The A-School Dean’s Forum recognizes all alumni, parents, friends, firms, corporations, and faculty who donate unrestricted dollars to the A-School Annual Fund at a leadership level, within a fiscal year.



WHAT IS THE A-SCHOOL DEAN'S FORUM? 

The A-School Dean’s Forum is the School’s leadership giving recognition society. Members of the A-School Dean’s Forum enjoy personal correspondence from the Dean regarding School news and updates, acknowledgment in the A-School Dean’s Forum honor roll, and invitations to special events and opportunities - including the annual Dean’s Forum Dinner. This exclusive event is held at a unique location in or around Charlottesville each fall and brings together approximately 170 of the School’s most loyal benefactors.


WHEN CAN I PARTICIPATE? 

 Anytime! You can become a part of the A-School Dean’s Forum at any point throughout the year. There is no particular day or specific mailing that limits your entry.  


WHERE DOES MY DONATION GO? 

Your A-School Dean’s Forum contributions go towards enriching and enhancing initiatives such as student scholarships and fellowships, faculty research and travel, special lectures and exhibits, Foundation operations, and alumni activities and events.


WHY SHOULD I PARTICIPATE?

Leadership annual gifts make the A-School stronger.  You, your child, or close friend was unknowingly touched by the generosity of this community while at the A-School.  You could give back and do the same by making an exceptional commitment to the A-School Annual Fund.


WHAT ARE THE LEADERSHIP LEVELS? 

There are several Dean's Forum Leadership Giving Levels to fit your personal philanthropic goals:


Partner: $5,000+*

Professional: $2,500 - $4,999*

Principal: $1,000 - $2,499

Associate: $500 - $999 (for alumni five to nine years following graduation)

Intern: $250 - $299 (for alumni within four years of graduation) 

*Dean’s Forum gifts at this level are also recognized by the University’s annual giving recognition society, the Rotunda Society.

Held annually in the fall, the A-School Dean's Forum Dinner celebrates the accomplishments of the School and acknowledges the generosity of our A-School community. 150-250 Dean's Forum members, alumni, friends, donors, parents, faculty, and current students all gather for this memorable evening, typically held in a magnificent historic estate or architecturally significant venue in and around Charlottesville and Albemarle County. Past locations include Morven, Barboursville, Blenheim, the Jefferson Theater on the downtown mall, Blue Ridge Farm, UVA Grounds, and Monticello + Montalto for the 25th Anniversary. The A-School Distinguished Alumni Award is presented at this dinner and the Dean provides an update on the School.
