Visiting the School
Visitors are always welcome at the University. Prospective students are especially encouraged to visit the Grounds, preferably while the University is in session. Visiting options for prospective undergraduate and graduate students is located below. Most administrative offices are open Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

- Amtrak makes several stops daily at the Charlottesville station (CVS), which is located roughly 2 miles from Central Grounds on 810 West Main St. Contact Amtrak: 1-800-872-7245 or www.amtrack.com

All undergraduate students are encouraged to attend an Admissions Session and Grounds tour provided by the University of Virginia Office of Admission

If you would like to visit the School of Architecture specifically, please complete the online form below. In order to better accommodate our visitors, we ask that you request a tour at least a week in advance of your arrival date. A confirmation of your tour will be e–mailed to the address you list on the form. You may be contacted by the School of Architecture if we cannot accommodate your tour request.

Graduate Students
Graduate students are encouraged to visit the School of Architecture during a Graduate Open House. However, if you are unable to attend an Open House you may visit at another time. If you would like to be added to the School of Architecture mailing list and/or you would like to visit the School of Architecture please contact the Graduate Admissions Office at 434-924-6442 or arch-admissions@virginia.edu. In order to better accommodate our visitors, we ask that you request a visit at least a week in advance of your arrival date.
Open Houses
Each year, the School schedules two Graduate Open Houses. Visitors have the opportunity to meet faculty and current graduate students, sample classes, and tour the School facilities, University grounds and the surrounding community.
