Paul and Daisy Sodoros Fellowships for New Americans
The purpose of the Paul and Daisy Sodoros Fellowships for New Americans is to provide opportunities for continuing generations of able and accomplished New Americans to achieve leadership in their chosen fields. The program is established in recognition of the contributions New Americans have made to life in the U.S. and in gratitude for the opportunities the United States has afforded the donors and their family.
Qualifications
Fellows must have shown potential in the fields they are pursuing, possess the capacity for creativity, persistence, and work, and have a commitment to the values of the U.S. Constitution. Applicants must be a "Green Card" holder, a naturalized citizen, or have two parents who are naturalized citizens. Open to fourth year students in a bachelor program and graduate students with no more than two years already in a graduate program. Individuals who are in the third or subsequent year of their graduate programs are not eligible. To be eligible you must not be older than 30 yrs of age as of Nov 1, 2007
Amount
Fellow receives a maintenance grant of $20,000 and a tuition grant of up to 1/2 the tuition cost of the U.S. graduate program attended by the Fellow.
