Murphy Fellowship

This fellowship comes from the Murphy Fund for International Study. The fellowship supports students in Arts & Sciences, Darden, and the School of Architecture. It makes a travel stipend available to a selected student in each of these schools and is to be given annually to an undergraduate student.

Qualifications

The students must be at least a rising third year and must have a GPA of at least 3.5. An application form is required by the College.

Application Requirements

The application consists of one essay of no more than four pages (double spaced) in which the applicant should describe the proposed plan for study abroad, including academic interests and future goals. All applicants should be sure to include how the Murphy Fellowship will assist them in the pursuit of their goals. Applicants should also submit one letter of recommendation from a faculty member familiar with their work.
