Garden Club of America Internship

The GCA Internship in Garden History and Design is an annual award to support independent study by a student in the field of landscape history and design. Preference will be given to a researcher interested in working at the Archive of American Gardens at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC, and this application incorporates Smithsonian criteria. The award would supplement the base internship remuneration given by the institution. A written report must be submitted to the GCA Acholarship Committee at the end of the internship. The term of the internship is 10 to 16 weeks.

Qualifications: The award is available to a student in any facility approved by the Scholarship Committee providing adequate supervision and structure, and is base on the Smithsonian criteria.
