Our mission is to promote scholarship in architectural history and its related fields, as well as to support the activities for students of the Department of Architectural History here at UVa. We sponsor lectures by distinguished scholars, initiate field trips and organize social events for members. The Thomas Jefferson Chapter also aims to support dialogue between faculty, students, and the community. Unlike most other SAH chapters, TJ SAH is run by students. However we do encourage anyone with an interest in architectural and landscape history, historic preservation, and urbanism and design to participate in our activities.
